Troubleshooting
The screens in Works that look like faults but are states, and the ones that really are faults.
"No company access"
You signed in successfully and belong to no company. This is a state, not an error.
Someone with instance admin needs to either invite you to a company or grant you instance admin. See Members and access.
"This NuFi Works is waiting on its first admin"
The instance has no administrator yet. Nobody can do anything until one claims it.
On an instance exposed publicly, browser-based claiming is deliberately disabled so a passing visitor cannot promote themselves. Claiming it needs an operator — see Installing NuFi Works.
An invite link shows a password form
You opened it before signing in. Sign in through agents.nufi.me first,
then open the link — it will be accepted automatically.
If local sign-up is closed on the instance, that form cannot work for you at all: there is no local account to create.
My agent will not run
Check the adapter first. The coding adapters — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi — need a sandbox provider, and most instances have none. An agent on one of those cannot run regardless of how it is configured.

Deleting a company fails
A company with both goals and projects can hit a database constraint during deletion — projects reference goals, and the cascade removes them in the wrong order on some versions. If deletion returns an error and the company reappears, it was never deleted; the transaction rolled back.
Removing the projects first, then the company, works around it. A fixed version deletes cleanly.
The interface says a key was created but nothing appears
Studio and Works both refresh their lists after a failed request, which can look like a create that silently did nothing. If a creation seems to succeed but leaves no row, the request was refused — the reason is in the response rather than on screen.
The first page load is slow
The service sleeps when idle. The first request wakes it; the rest are fast. Open it once before a demo.
Connecting your NuFi account
Give NuFi Works a gateway key from the session you already have, so agents run on your budget and your usage — not a shared credential.
What the box is
One command puts the whole of NuFi on a machine a department already owns, and a shared folder becomes that department's knowledge.
