Research a topic with web search
Get up-to-date, source-cited answers by letting NUFI search the live web, then drill into the sources.
By default the AI answers from what it learned during training, which has a cutoff date. Web search lets it look things up live and answer with citations you can open and verify — so you can research a topic and trust the sources.
What you'll need
- Web search enabled for your organisation — you'll see Web Search in the Tools menu. (If it's missing, ask your admin.)
Steps
Open the Tools menu (the sliders icon next to the paperclip) and turn on Web Search. It stays on for the rest of the conversation.
Ask a question that needs current information, for example:
What changed in the EU AI Act timeline this year, and when do the main obligations start?
NUFI turns your question into searches, reads the top results, and answers with inline citations — small numbered links back to each source.
Drill in and narrow:
Focus on obligations for small companies.
Read source [2] more carefully — what does it say about deadlines?
Optional: attach one of your own files and ask NUFI to compare it against what it found on the web.
What you get
An answer backed by links you can check yourself — a paragraph with [1] [2]
citations you hover to preview and click to open the original page.
Make it better
- Ask for sources explicitly — add "with sources" or "cite each claim".
- Be specific — "Compare the 2025 camera reviews of phone A vs phone B" beats "which phone is better?".
- Cross-check anything important before you rely on it.
- Privacy: whatever the AI looks up becomes a search query that leaves NUFI for the search provider — turn search off for confidential prompts.
